Did a movie ever creep you out to the point of being uncomfortable watching it ?

Just watched "Would You Rather" 2012 and I kinda feel dirty or something.

If this is what the producers were shooting for they hit the mark (at least with me)

I Spit On Your Grave is very uncomfortable to watch.

    What's more uncomfortable than that?

The wave of I Spit On Your Grave sequels...

      True, I forgot about them

The one where they take her to their country was over the top (even for that movie series)

My wife doesn't want me watching or be in the presence of watching the original Exorcist. I think that film plays on a very primal level with some belief systems. In some ways I understand it because it's loosely based on the events surrounding a supposed real life event. But for myself, it's a movie. If I really have to worry about Satan punching a hole into this world and taking someone over, then first my belief system must be very weak to think he has that kind of authority and two Satan must be a moron to pick a little girl as his victim of choice. It remains a very good movie, but the demonic dubbing is a bit dated by today's standards.

I was going to post this. The remake of the original is actually pretty good, but the sequels are yucky. I kinda like 'em though. I'm a gore hound though, so...

Just watched Nekromantic, but it didn't really bother me since it's so ridiculous. The end is effed up!

I watched this crazy low-budget Canadian flick called Father's Day that had me totally cringing at the beginning. It ends up being pretty over-the-top ridiculous, and very funny to boot, but it hits some taboo stuff pretty hard early on.

I thought Human Centipede was going to gross me out, but it's kinda tame. I guess the 2nd and 3rd are pretty disgusting though, and I don't think I'll be watching them.

I'm not easily offended, and being made uncomfortable is often a plus when it comes to these flicks.

Serpent and the Rainbow did it for me. While watching it I had this feeling come over me like I shouldn't be here and shouldn't be watching this. Never watched it again. Thankfully never had that feeling again for anything else

Henry - Portrait of a Serial Killer. Michael Rooker's performance was career making, but some of the murders were absolutely uncomfortable to watch. The taped home invasion in particular.
"It's sad that governments are chiefed by the double tongues. There is iron in your words of death for all Comanche to see, and so there is iron in your words of life. No signed paper can hold the iron. It must come from men. The words of Ten Bears carries the same iron of life and death. It is good that warriors such as we meet in the struggle of life... or death. It shall be life."

I watched that WAY too many times in my early 20s and then couldn't even stomach the idea of watching it again. Re-watched it recently and it has really held up, but seems so tame compared to all the torture porn and stuff that's out there now. Yet it is still very effective, and the home invasion scene is way too realistic.

I knew there was a more recent movie that had kind of taken me aback, and it just came to me, I Saw The Devil. It is brutal, and with today's special effects the violence is so bluntly realistic it was unnerving to me. It's a doozy of a movie.

Are we talking scary or disturbing?

                            Disturbing? This:

Sure, there are plenty of weirdo gross out torture shock value movies but "Henry" is very effective, almost like a documentary, without much gore at all.

Scary? "The Conjuring." I watched it alone, with the lights out... after it was over I was jumping at every little sound, I was even creeped out the next day. That's when you know a movie was scary, and not just gory or filled with jump scares, when it still has a hold on you a day later.
I've watched a loooooooooooooot of horror movies but can count on one hand the ones that I thought were actually scary.

I've had a copy of "A Serbian Film" on my hard drive for several years now, and haven't watched it yet, I've heard such nasty things about it I'm almost afraid to watch it. And believe me, I've watched plenty of f'ed up films!
