From Mickey Mouse to Star Wars

Wow, that title is prophetic ain't it? The Mouse almost owns the whole page now. There is no greater image I'll see today than that home brewed Chewbacca illustration. I miss the "Pre-Style Guide" world.

PS- I know I've featured this before but a) it was nearly a decade ago and b) some things are worth repeating. For more Fashion Mockery and 70's toy love visit us at Plaid Stallions.com

Very similar to the shirts seen for sale in the men's section at WalMart these days.
I'd wear any of those shirts today.

I think I had those yellow Batman pajamas, and I still own that Superman/Batman & Robin robe. Both my kids have worn it!

I'm really likin' the art on the Star Trek one -- as you said, pre-style guide free-for-all design really produced some different and really interesting pieces.

I'll take Star Trek, Spider-Man, Batman and Superman in an adult XL please! They'll go great w/ my bedsheets!

Just realized I had those Spidey pajamas too. I know there is a picture of me in that outfit.

My mom must have worn this catalog page out!

Love it, especially the flame resistant disclaimer! Ah, what were the talking/selling points to parents in the 70s always brings back memories of my childhood travails....

Never knew Superman had a twin brother.

These do look familiar. I think that a friend of mine had the Superman set pajamas and robe.

Certainly is. It reminded me of this old illustration in TV Guide. It's like only the Mouse could take on Marvel.

Oddly Hawkman, Green Lantern and some other DC characters are hiding behind the Marvel heroes in the forefront...

I did notice that, yeah. Art is by Wally Wood by the way.
