    Kenner Batman the Animated series.

100 figures of Batman and only one of them actually looked like he did in the cartoon.

I'm drawing a bit of a blank here. Other than Combat Belt Batman did Kenner release any other figures of Batman that were actually show accurate? Black and gray or blue and gray with the oval insignia?

Did Mattel after they got the license from Hasbro?

You are a bold and courageous person, afraid of nothing. High on a hill top near your home, there stands a dilapidated old mansion. Some say the place is haunted, but you don't believe in such myths. One dark and stormy night, a light appears in the topmost window in the tower of the old house. You decide to investigate... and you never return...

Yeah, there were a couple of normal looking Kenner Batman figures sprinkled in with all the crazy alternate costumes. Aside from Combat Belt Batman, which was his standard Batman the Animated Series costume, there was "Detective Batman" which was his The New Batman Adventures costume. Those are the two main ones. And there was "Retro Batman" from Batman: Mask of the Phantasm. Once Hasbro took over, they did a few normal looking variants, like Batman in blue and gray. And Mattel had several standard costume Batman figures in their animated Justice League line of figures.

There were quite a few show or comic accurate repaint variations in the many, many 4-packs that came out during the TNBA era.

I remember that figure. Unfortunately Retro Batman is metallic Blue and doesn't have the oval insignia. Mask of the Phantasm Rapid Attack Batman would also have been perfect if they had not made him gold.

Kenner's aversion to releasing normal colored Batman figures was really frustrating to me at the time.

I remember the Batman in the Mattel Penguin four pack was close. He had the oval insignia but was unfortunately blue with a silver lined cape.

It's the TNBA Batman decoed like BTAs, but this one is close:

This version of Detective Batman is actually superior to the original, as his inner cape is gray, just like on the show:

Not a fan of the rubber capes on those. But still pretty nice TNBA style versions.

As TNBA versions go, I've always liked the Mission Masters 3 one best because of the cloth cape. It still has that big hole in his back but at least it's covered by the cape.

There's one of those TNBA Batman figures that has the more on-model beige utility belt, vs. the yellow. Can't remember how it came packaged, but I think it was a single.
