Santa dropped off a Mego Buck Rogers gift on my desk!

The last time somebody gifted me a Mego Buck Rogers toy, it was Christmas 1979.

Imagine my surprise when I got to work yesterday morning and this was on my desk:

    Untitled by mommydawn2000, on Flickr

Still sealed with just a hint of shelf wear. It was given to me by a coworker- he has had this for about 35 years in his storage unit and he's cleaning things out. (He knew I was into Buck stuff). What makes it even more interesting is that he actually worked on the show during the second season.

As much as I want to open it, I must resist! (But I have a loose complete example that I'll have to play with to help.)

NICE score, sir! Yeah, I'd resist opening it, too, especially if you have a loose one to monkey with. Put the minty boxed one somewhere safe in your collection.
"It's sad that governments are chiefed by the double tongues. There is iron in your words of death for all Comanche to see, and so there is iron in your words of life. No signed paper can hold the iron. It must come from men. The words of Ten Bears carries the same iron of life and death. It is good that warriors such as we meet in the struggle of life... or death. It shall be life."

Cool. I always wanted one of those, but only got the Draconian ship when I was a kid. Have to keep an eye open at shows I go to now...

Also cool that your co-worker use dot work on the show.

My coworkers don't do their share and forget my birthday. What a nice thing to receive!

I had never noticed before that "Buck Rogers" is in quotation marks.
