There a lot of people who feasted on Marie Severin's art but had no clue what they were looking at...
Marie's Doctor Strange art is featured prominently on this album cover amid all the psychadelic effects...
Pink Floyd, A Saucerful of Secrets
-Doc is on the right and the Living Tribunal is in the upper left corner...
this is the panel the Doc image was lifted from...
you can read more about the album cover here: http://nightflight.com/dr-strange-pi...-cover-design/

I'll admit when I saw this thread my heart sank I thought I would be reading an obituary. Thank fully she is still with us.
Anyway, big fan of Marie not only one of the best female comic artists one of the best comic artists period.
I believe She had a decent number of issues on the Sub-Mariner run.
And even had time to spoof the Aurora model kit

Gil Kane during the 70's was Marvel's premiere prelim/cover layout artist...but Marie was Marvel's 60's premiere prelim/cover layout artist. Never has really gotten the accolades she deserves. I'm fortunate to own a 6 page story done by Marie for a Spider-Man/Fantastic Four flip style book. She penciled, inked, and colored all 6 pages. I have all the original pages and all the original color keys that she did for the book. This is my favorite page from the 6 pages which is the retelling of the FF's origin:
Here's the link if you want to see all 6 pages:

It's a story that is more geared towards first time readers...but I had to have it just for the retelling of the FF's origin done by someone that was there when it all first started.Comment
