Coming Soon - Silver Age Batgirl from Batman Series 5
Okay. I just took another look at the pics. The face does seem off and does seem to have an oversized jaw like most of the other females of late, but it does seem more "finished" and not as rough. I'm still going go to hold out final judgement for now.
As for the gloves, I'm with the others of you who've mentioned it. Molded gloves (like the original Mego Invisible Girl) would be better.
Is that molded hair? Hard to tell. Again, another sloppy female figure. Hair, boots, gloves and body need help... This looks like a rehash of parts around the shop. Oh well, easy pass for me too.
The face sculpt is a little jowl-ly, but otherwise it looks good.
I was thinking it looked like Peter Boyle ( from Young Frankenstein, Everybody Loves Raymond)
for some reason....Bet this one has another wacky 2 holes in the head like the 66 batgirl?

Hm... You could actually be right about that. The only thing that could save that head sculpt would be to plunk it onto a male teen body, shave it's head and sell it with a Cher doll as part of a 1980s movie set.
The suit looks nice and I like the bigger bat symbol. The 'gloves' look good to me, too, but they do seem to bunch up the sleeves. How do these work anyway, if they aren't sewn onto the sleeves? Are they glued to the arms? Then there is the head sculpt ... this is just bad work IMO. It doesn't do the character justice at all. She's supposed to be a sharp detective, but this Batgirl looks pretty clueless.
That was always my favorite look for Batgirl. Unfortunately the head sculpt needs work. The FTC artist that does these seems to have real difficulty with female head sculpts. Square jaw, blank expression and one eye looks lower than the other or at a different angle. There's just something really off about it.
You are a bold and courageous person, afraid of nothing. High on a hill top near your home, there stands a dilapidated old mansion. Some say the place is haunted, but you don't believe in such myths. One dark and stormy night, a light appears in the topmost window in the tower of the old house. You decide to investigate... and you never return...
