While it is a shame in the sense that she had cancer and passed away, how that woman escaped being charged for fleecing people for so many years is beyond me?!?!?! I know for years the FBI tried to make charges stick, they just never could. That "psychic hotline" she worked for was proven to be a total sham (no surprise). In addition, while she always claimed to be from Jamaica, in reality, she was born in Los Angeles (but that is called acting, I guess). In her heyday though, she made a fortune reading people's so-called future through tarot cards (which ended up being bogus). The first three minutes were supposed to be free. People were then conveniently put on hold for three minutes. After that, they were charged, unbeknownst to them, $1.99 a minute -- perfect scam!
