    Star Wars Collectors...GMFGI??

What is the significance of the copyright on the leg GMFGI? I saw this auction which is basically for incomplete figures and the price seems a little high for loose incomplete:

I'm not a Star Wars collector but I try to learn as much as I can so I can have the knowledge when I am at thrift stores etc. to know if something is worth picking up either for trade or for sale. Is there any significance to the GMFGI copyright? Thanks for reading this and hopefully making me understand why this is or isn't important.

Is this an indication of an early figure or a later figure?

earlier, I would think. All the Star Wars Kenner items (first movie) were sold with a blue General Mills tag on them. Later on it was Lucasfilm, but I am not sure when that change happened.

the leg stamps had L.F.L for lucasfilm

General Mills owned Kenner so they were marked as such.

Hi, I'm relatively new to collecting vintage kenner Star Wars action figures. I don't really understand the difference in stamp markings on the figures legs such as GMFGI, LFL, Hong Kong, Taiwan or no country of origin. What is the difference? Are some not the original Kenner figures? Are some...
