I like the interaction between negan and carl.
nice tension.

I liked it, too. You could see that Carl was impressed/ stunned by the power Negan has. I was overly proud of myself that I noticed the ironing victim had peed himself before Negan mentioned it.

Carl had the perfect chance to redeem himself as a watchable character and he ruined it.

When Negan asked him to sing a song - any sony ----- carl should have started singing ---Were you born an azzhole, or did you work at it your whole life

I fastforwarded through the entire episode.
Carl doesn't shoot Negan. Come on, people! He kills guards without flinching, but he gives Negan plenty of time to hide (and get himself clobbered).
Negan finds Judith. Come on, what did you expect?
Which reminds me (about a previous ep): which idiot leaves a notebook with details about every gun for Negan to find? Rip that thing up, hide guns!

Who is writing this nonsense? A five year old?

And what do we get? Another entire episode of Negan bullying/threatening people and smiling. Riveting stuff...

Crazy how much of this is right from the comic, and playing horribly with a huge chuck of the TV audience. Seems to guarantee a course-correction in comic storyline. Morgan gets so much work, he'll have no problem walking away in a year.

Well I guess that mid-season finale made a big impression on everyone

I thought it was more of the same boring drivel, and I didn't really care about the losses. I can only hope the kumbaya at the end heralds a more compelling second half..

We can dance around it and play happy funtime, but they've pulled a Lost. What really sucks for them, is they just finished shooting the second half of S7. I could see AMC panic and call for a revision, then Kirkman walks and the show ends with S9 when Lincoln's contract is up.

I enjoyed this episode quite a bit but it seemed rushed. By the way, how the heck does a guy go overboard into a shallow lake full of monsters and come away without being bitten? Darrel escapes out some back route with a set of keys and no one is standing guard. At least have Jesus take some people out or clear a path on screen. "and, I made him spaghetti!"

I was just glad to finally have some hope brought in again. now hopefully they start getting some payback when the show returns in February.
