Anyone ever see Tales of Frankenstein (1958) ?

I'm wondering why it's made by Columbia/Screen Gems + Hammer but they use the trademark Universal monster makeup including square head ?

Also surprised Hammer had a hand in American TV shows

It's a fun little tidbit, I like Anton Diffring. I know Columbia pictures distributed a chunk of Hammer films, so they did business, but why they were able to use that make-up when Hammer initially couldn't is an interesting question.
