FTC clothing fabric makeup? Polyester or Blend?

Hello everyone. I have a pair of pants from an Undercover Dick Grayson figure from FTC that I want to dye pure black, right now they are more of a dark grey. Does anyone know the fabric makeup of their clothing? Is it straight polyester or a blend of some sort? Want to see if I can use the plain RIT dye off the shelf or if I'm going to have to order some of the specialty dye made just for synthetics. Thanks in advance for any help.

I dyed FTC grey pants black with no issues using Rit synthetic dye. It's readily available at most of the craft chains stores and comes in liquid form.

Is this what you used? I looked on the Rit site, and they didn't have a plain black in their synthetic dye selection, just this graphite.

That's it! That's what they call black.
For best results do the stove top method but don't let it boil or you could get spots. I usually mix it with some water.
If you are close to an AC Moore they have it on clearance for $2.99 for some reason.

The grey FTC pants on this guy were dyed black with Rit synthetic dye.

I'm still curious on the makeup of the fabric. Does anyone know for sure if they're 100% polyster or a blend?
