Who ya gonna call?
These ladies!
My wife and I both loved it. Don't believe the negativity and bad press...this was a fun movie. It was far from the trainwreck people are expecting. The cast all felt right together...being made up of mostly SNL members like the original certainly helped. The story felt fresh and familiar at the same time, and truthfully felt like less of a copy of the original than The Force Awakens did...at least to me.
The ghost FX were great, and there were plenty of cool nods and cameos. The villain in this one was an interesting angle not present in the original film, in which stuff just happened. In this version, it's happening for a reason. They definitely set it up for a sequel, and I hope the film does well enough that it happens. I want to see more of these Ghostbusters doing their thing in their own unique style.
The entire theatre we were in really seemed to enjoy themselves. My only real complaint was the new Ghostbusters theme song can't hold a candle to Ray Parker Jr.'s. They should have just stuck with it.
