    Dr. Zira Mash-Up

Who says vintage and contemporary can't co-exist?

Ape City antics resulted in this fun hybrid Zira:

    • Mego Head, Body & Tights
    • NECA Hands, Feet & Tunic
    • EMCE Skirt
    • Custom Sacred Scroll

This is marvelous! I'd like Neca more if they were like this.
WANTED: Dick Grayson SI trousers; gray AJ Mustang horse; vintage RC Batman (Bruce Wayne) head; minty Wolfman tights; mint Black Knight sword; minty Launcelot boots; Lion Rock (pale) Dracula & Mummy heads; Lion Rock Franky squared boots; Wayne Foundation blue furniture; Flash Gordon/Ming (10") unbroken holsters; CHiPs gloved arms; POTA T2 tan body; CTVT/vintage Friar Tuck robes, BBP TZ Burgess Meredith glasses.

This is the way that the Apes line should have been from the beginning! I love it!

She looks very clean, and tightly put together.

            Perfect!

Now THAT is an excellent mash job. Beautiful piece! So nicely executed. Looks like it's shelf bought.

Thanks… just sharing some ideas. There's a small group of us that try to give Zira respect!

Some pine you can't customize much with NECA figures. Clearly I disagree and have been using both the Classic and Retro lines to do so across a half dozen or so customs. Next up might be Zira-fashionista to Daisy Domergue get-up-conversion.

BTW, if you want to pull one of these together, you'll need to de-assemble (pop the shoulder pin and re-assemble later) her arms in order to put the tunic on first. The tunic will also need significantly heated (hot water) and massaged (dull curved sculpting tool under the tunic) onto the armless/headless bod. But that's the coolness of the original Mego bodies, they hold up and can be manipulated in many ways. Get your build on!

That sounds like a lot of work, but can't argue with the results. Very nice!
