That's awesome! I have the DVD box set my wife got for me for Christmas several years ago.

Mitch's brother owns Frightenstein, i guess they worked licensing out finally. Fantastic news!

I tried to get the figure license back in 2009, it didn't go well.

        Neat !!!

As a kid (not knowing the show was Canadian and syndicated) I always wondered why it debuted and ran at 4:00 in the afternoon in the NYC area.

Thought it deserved to be on Saturday morning

When I was a kid, it was on at 6AM Saturday mornings (on CHCH Channel 11 in Hamilton, the TV station that produced the show). One of the few shows that would get me out of bed that early!

I wish the show would get another release on DVD. I missed the first one.

I remember them re-running this weekday mornings around '83... I used to catch the opening titles and then had to leave to get the school bus before the show actually started.

A bit off topic but while we're on the subject something I've always wondered ... The Vincent Price spoken verse intro of Frightenstein is very similar in style as the conclusion of Michael Jackson's Thriller.

Just wondering if Jackson ever went on record as acknowledging the similarities - perhaps he was a huge fan of the show ?
