Best James Bond Theme Song/Opening?

It seems that all the best ones (for me) were done in the 70's. 'Live and let die' and 'The Spy who loved me' are my favorite. This is a close third released in 1981.
I also liked A View to a Kill by Duran Duran. One of the few movies I actually saw with my mother. She was a big fan of Bond back then and my dad was out of the country on a special project for Ford in Brazil at that time, so my mother didn't have her usual partner.Comment

I love the raw power of OHMSS. No lyrics, just strong music, with a dark edge and great tempo.
But there really are so many of them, bit of a soundtrack/Bond buff here.
Man with the Golden Gun isn't known that well, but a great soundtrack and title theme.
And you can never go wrong with From Russia, Goldfinger or You Only Live Twice.
To me, Bond went downhill fast from Moonraker on, and that also applies to the music. The recent music is good, but they never managed to get back that really iconic title theme that you keep humming days after seeing the movie..

Live and Let Die is my number one, being a huge McCartney fan. Spy who loved me is also my number two and For your Eyes only the runner upComment

Sam Smith - Writings on the wall. Not a fan of Sam usually, but this.......
Bottom of the list has to be Madonnas effort.Comment

Really didn't like Sam Smith's singing, too highpitched. Bond would not have liked it, either.
The worst Bond soundtracks must be the Brosnan/Dalton years. Very forgettable, as are their movies..

I've always loved Goldfinger, the only prob for me is the lyrics seemed to have been written by someone who've never read the script.
Goldfinger
He's the man, the man with the Midas touch
A spider's touch
Such a cold finger
Beckons you to enter his web of sin
But don't go in
Golden words he will pour in your ear
But his lies can't disguise what you fear
For a golden girl knows when he's kissed her
It's the kiss of death from
Mister Goldfinger
Pretty girl beware of this heart of gold
This heart is cold
Golden words he will pour in your ear
But his lies can't disguise what you fear
For a golden girl knows when he's kissed her
It's the kiss of death from
Mister Goldfinger
Pretty girl beware of this heart of gold
This heart is cold
He loves only gold
Only gold
He loves gold
He loves only gold
Only gold
He loves gold
---------------------------------------------
Such a cold finger
This has to be one of the most laziest rhymes in the history of songwriting
Golden words he will pour in your ear
Actually it was Goldfinger who had the receiving end of the earpiece
But his lies can't disguise what you fear
Death ? .... uh duh
For a golden girl knows when he's kissed her
It's the kiss of death from
Mister Goldfinger
Goldfinger did not kiss any girls in the movie --- as a matter of fact the girl he kills is quoted as saying she's paid only to be seen with him.Comment

Think I might have mentioned this already in the past but I always thought the theme from Midnight Cowboy ripped off You Only Live Twice .... (yes, they're both John Barry
Midnight
The theme from the 1969 film "Midnight Cowboy" composed and conducted by John Barry (1933-2011) - One of the greatest composers of all time
Twice
