Cool Post! THANKS for posting it! Big Red is a fave of mine. Any toy that Knocks off 2 or more toys is OK in my Book! 
The figures I have owned were constructed similar to a Ken doll. If you look at the diver on the raft it looks like they just made his leg bend to take the pic. The red and white Jeeps are made by Empire and were sold separately. The caged animal in the back of the red jeep may be exclusive to Big Red, the boxed Empire ones I had did not include it. I have never seen the Big Red Camper or parts of one ever for sale. I wonder if it ever went into production?
2nd Ad: The 4 uniforms on the bottom were put out by LJN Mister Action line. The training Tower is also by LJN and is a Mister Action item.
I think the cool outfits on top rock. The KO Big Jim goggles look great! The black socks weren't cool in the 70s so they have to go!
