    Mego 12 Inch Superheroes

As I prepare for this week's Mego Meet Toy Show this weekend, I thought it would be cool to showcase this awesome catalog from the United Kingdom. Burbank Toys began distributed the Mego Toy Lines in the late 1970s and did a knock out job with the 12" Superheroes, more pages after the jump!

I got that Hulk for my eight birthday and I still have him.

Drove my mom crazy for that Robin figure for my seventh birthday he wasn't a boy he was a 20 year Robin, just like Neal Adams drew him! I'm fortunate that she was able to track him down. This is still my favourite toy depiction of the dynamic duo.

If you like Mego and live in the Chicago area, please join me this Saturday at Aw Yeah Mego Meet 2016. It's a really fun, family friendly event and there are tons of cool toys to look at.

Man, those are some gorgeous pics. Great layout too!

I really love that sculpt on the 9 1/2" Robin. Definitely the Teen Wonder there. The later 12" version is more like the MAN Wonder, but I still love it too.

I never noticed until this thread how much the Wonder Woman figure is the spitting image of Lynda Carter.

                Gotcha.

What I'd really like to do is a lil' mixing/bashing, but at those prices, eehhh...

I'm good for the various 12" Supes and Spideys, but I can't believe I don't have any of the 12" Batmans and Robins (unless you count the carded "Heroes Accessories" knockoffs). Heck, the Parkdale Batman is still really common but I don't have one (I used to around 20 years ago but I stupidly sold him). I need to remedy this...

The Parkdale Batman head is so good and FTC needs to shrink it!

I always loved the advertisements for the 12 inch figures. It was a magical time for Mego and I enjoyed collecting those as a kid and later as an adult.
