Nope, must be the camera... they are the same heads, with only a matte vinyl sealer added to cut down that oily sheen (it's oil of Olay for action figures), Come see em in person in a few days...

I was wondering the same. I have the black bearded and non-beard already, but I would get another if the flesh color was different.
I think I'll get a red-head this time to match the artwork on the card!
