I really don't have a lot to say today other than the sight of Fisher Price Adventure People never fail to make me happy.
This ad is from 1975 when "collect em all" meant "four sets".
This line holds a special place in my heart. I still have a box that I let my kids play with regularly.
The sea explorer set was the favorite bath time toy for my brothers and now for my kids too.
Love seeing it on the bathroom floor everyday.
All of the Adventure People line was great. I mainly had the rescue, diver/scuba and motocross with stuff along with a van. I also had the parachutist (came with that van adfenture set..maybe there was a kayak as well) and I had a couple of the hand gliding figures.
I always liked that they included women in many of the sets. Great toys for both boys and girls.
You are a bold and courageous person, afraid of nothing. High on a hill top near your home, there stands a dilapidated old mansion. Some say the place is haunted, but you don't believe in such myths. One dark and stormy night, a light appears in the topmost window in the tower of the old house. You decide to investigate... and you never return...
I never even knew about these sets prior to joining this forum. But I do have a few pieces for my 18 inch dolls to use as toys. The space rover makes a good makeshift "Venus Probe" for the Zica SMDM figure. And I also have a green camper van and a Space Commander. Those serve well as a Action guy/Barbie camper and a GIJoe Commander.

Yes, I can see I believe that it's magic
If your mission is magic your love will shine true."
One of my favorite all-time toy lines. Between myself and 2 younger brothers, we had the majority of sets. They were super-sturdy and had great playability on their own, but you could also bring in Star Wars figures. I feel like with the right kind of movie or TV show tie-in, this is a line that could be reissued.
Love them and I must say one of the most durable toy lines possibly ever made. You could go through hell and back with them and they still would last without really breaking apart (well mostly). I recently cleaned and packed (boxed) all of mine up for safer keeping about a month ago

Said it before and I'll say again, some of the very best toys ever made and some of my fondest childhood toy memories. I never got tired of playing with these.

I had quite a few sets and figures. The North Woods Trailblazer was one of my all time favorite toys that got lots of play. I have one in my collection now that makes me happy just seeing it sit there.
