    I need a price gauge......

    Hello all.

I got this bad boy couple years ago and I was curious on its value. Given all the new FTC, I'm guessing it won't be what I paid....

The card is solid ( except for a couple creases and a rub), the figure is dead mint, and the bubble is sealed all the way around.

    Thanks in advance!
    -Sean

Not carded person so mine would be a guestimate of Between $200 - $250. No graying, no broken leg, and no emblem at the bottom of the bubble being that it is secured to his chest where it should be. Might go for more than that. If it was a US carded figure I would guess close to $500.

That spot behind his head is unfortunate, as well as the discoloration from whatever someone decided to use to get the price tag off.
I'm inclined to go along w/ the $200 range.

That's the cloth emblem right tough to see on my phone, if so I paid $230 for mine a while back I think anywhere between $250 and $300 IMO

I'm quite shocked that a US carded 79er goes for less than a PinPin 79er:

Freak thing. Also didn't help that the seller had it end on Memorial Day here in the US. I don't think anyone is thinking about Ebay when they have a ton of Hamburgers, Hot Dogs, and Chicken inside of them and can barely move. Add a little bit of alcohol and yeah...that's the reason why this went that cheap. Sometimes a seller has to plan when they end an auction as they are listing it. Note: Holidays not to list auctions on or end are Memorial Day, July 4th weekend, and Labor Day during the summer. Not going to get MAX affect out of your auction.

Yes, but does this really decrease the price so much?
I read this in the description, too, but I couldn't see anything on the photos about this. The bubble looks okay, I think.

Fully sealed card as opposed to open card makes a big difference in price.

So this low price is probably a mix of the opened card and what Blue Meanie said, isn't it?

For me, if it is open in any way, it is a loose figure. Now a nice card still does add a few bucks, but it is still a loose figure. I have been building my carded collection over the last year. I have picked up a 1979 us card Batman for $300. The foreign card I got a great deal at $150. Of course it was on a Sunday. The best deals i have ever gotten on ebay have always been auctions that ended on a Sunday. I have been able to pick up some really nice carded megos. I was always a loose collector, but once i got that first one on card, it was on. If your patient and stalk the carded Batmans, you will eventually find a deal.
