Always loved the look of this guy from the second I saw him on the spinner racks at the 7-11 back in the late 80's. I'm so happy to be able to do a custom Mego of Hobgoblin. He was so much fun to do!
I just finished it up this afternoon, the paint is still wet on this one!
The head is from eBay painted by me on a Zica Type S body

The nifty box is from Dengar
The FTC gloves were originally yellow. I dyed them with a bit of red Rit synthetic dye to make them orange. They are held in place on that Zica body with some 3/16th plastic rod cut to about 1/2" long. They just plug right in where the hands used to be.
There is a lot of resin in that head so it was peppered with air holes. It took a lot of time & putty to prep it for paint.
I get such a feeling of satisfaction when I'm sliding a finished custom into a box.
Which is weird because I was the exact opposite with my Megos as a kid!
