I'm no longer afraid to admit that it would have been a tough decision for me as a kid between Star Wars and Ziggy. For more Fashion Mockery and 70's toy love visit us at Plaid Stallions.com
I was thinking the same thing. As a kid, I had friends who had the bedspreads of Raggedy Ann & Andy w/ the yellow plaid. And I just recently found some contact paper w/ the same design. Geez the ones for the girls were lame, except maybe Holly Hobbie. How about a Wonder Woman in there, huh?

Yeah, they kinda were. The choices for licensed girl themed characters on merchandise like that were pretty limited in the 70s. If you were lucky there was something with Barbie on it. It got a lot better in the 80s.
BTW: What's up with all the Ziggy stuff in the 70s? I don't remember anyone ever really liking him and yet his stuff was everywhere.
You are a bold and courageous person, afraid of nothing. High on a hill top near your home, there stands a dilapidated old mansion. Some say the place is haunted, but you don't believe in such myths. One dark and stormy night, a light appears in the topmost window in the tower of the old house. You decide to investigate... and you never return...

If you had said that to my best friend in sixth grade he probably would have thrown one of his Ziggy glasses at you and followed it up with a jab from his Garfield pencil. I never got it either, I lumped him in with Sally Forth.
I used to have a friend that was always sending me Ziggy cards after I moved from NYC to CA. I loved them!
