Whomever DC and Paramount have designing logos should be publically flogged. Looking at the DC logo earlier and this one, both from a design standpoint, they are both, IMHO, epic fails. Why screw with something good when it already works? The classic TREK font is well-know, timeless and people instantaneously associate it with STAR TREK. This logo design and typeface is just some design-school graduate gone wild kind of stuff...

I could be wrong, but the way it's worded seems to suggest that it's premiering with the pilot on CBS, but then the series will go to CBS All Access streaming. Like, the first hit is free.

Nope, nothing's changed. Premiere episode is on CBS, subsequent eps on CBS All-Access.

Hmm... retains the essence of the classic logo, but seems a little overly stylized.
There was nothing wrong with the original... should have stuck with that.

Yeah, don't like the font or the arrowhead. Why would the Star Trek logo look like it's carved out of rock? That's not sleek and futuristic.

they do that so everyone has a chance to see it, if they like it and want more they have to pay to see the rest. I will not be getting the streaming service. enough already. I bet that whole plan backfires and they bring it back to the regular channel
