custom problem

I have had this plan to swap out the Lion rock bodies on my WWII guys. I am using the Neo-Madelman 6" body because frankly it rules. Also fits and looks perfect:



This was the first guy I tried it on. I was very happy with the results. However, a couple nights ago I took him of the shelf to find that somehow the color from his rifle had stained his hands. Pretty badly I might add.

It doesn't look so bad in this picture, but it is a deep indigo color, like an ink stain. The madelman was brand new, fresh off the card, as was the Lion Rock guy. What could have possibly caused this? Keep in mind he has been displayed holding his rifle for only about a month. Is there a way I can fix it? I'll probably just clear coat the rifles as I planned on repainting them anyways, but can the hands be saved?

How Hot is it in your house ?

Not unusually hot. I haven't run my heat more than a couple times in last month, but it's been hot enough the last week or so that my AC has been on. It probably stays between 70/75 degrees.

Its been happening a lot with the 40th Anniversary Action Man Range

Basically the weapons and sometimes the hats have been melting into the plastic.

Is it all vintage....or any repo bits ?

All fresh off card vintage. Nothing repro at all.
