    Profit On New Female Body

I'm just running this through my head.

Those of us that have started replacing the bodies for our female figures using old Matel bodies from retro Cheetah and Ghost Buster's Janine are probably paying $20 to $25 per body including shipping.

How much money could FTC be making if they put the time and effort into making and selling a better quality female body specifically for their premium figures and replacement bodies for figures already produced???

There's no guarantee people would be happy with it. To make a body fit the clothing for figures already in production they'd need to make some design compromises. They're kind of damned if they do and damned if they don't IMO. Can you imagine the outcry if someone tried to dress Babs on their spiffy new body and there was just no way to get it to look right?

Quite a bit, but that would require time and effort on their part.

Right now they make money selling junk, knowing that it will fall apart do they can sell MORE junk!

But Yvonne doesn't fit Mego clothes, especially shoes.

I've also heard that the FTC/Mego heads don't fit.

They should make an updated body. Mego updated their bodies from type 1 to type 2. I would pay a little more money to have a more articulated figure. Especially a swivel arm and ball joined neck that would be nice. And get rid of the rubber bands.

Well, rumor was that they were working on new male bodies for the slim figures (Shaggy) and muscular figures. Maybe they will work up a female figure too.

I think it would be more cost efficient to get rid of the rubber bands. And to make a swivel arm all they have to do is retool the upper arms. Not that much of a deal to update it. Besides my local comic book store is charging $40 for the 1966 batman "surfings series"

That's ridiculous!!! I know that they have to make a profit, but that smacks of price gouging.
