FYI, the guy who plays the Mountain is Hafthor Bjornsson, 6'9" tall, 400 pounds, and one of the strongest men in the world. Here he is deadlifting 991 pounds:

As long as it's not arm wrestling.

Arm wrestling legend Devon Larratt toys with the Mountain Man here...

Former NFL player, and current ESPN's SportsNation host, Marcellus Wiley...was talking crap about Devon Larratt.

Wiley was saying Devon cheated against Mountain Man...what he doesn't understand, that's an allowed technique used in arm wrestling. However, just to put to rest all controversy...Devon decided to truly embarrass Mr Big Mouth...

Well, Marcellus Wiley sure was humbled...

Devon Larratt is a Game of Thrones fan...and he was indeed initially intimidated by Mountain Man at first...

              SPOILERS for last nite's ep.

              Last chance SPOILER ALERT..

I'm glad they didn't drag out Jon Snow's resurrection any longer, would have been quite the waste to have him laying on a slab for half the season. I was pretty surprised to see it was Mellisandre who did the deed. I know that was the popular opinion for how it would happen, but I thought there was a good chance he would be revived when his body was burned, revealing a major hint as to his true heritage. But the way it was handled was still effective, with a fine performance by a disheartened Mellisandre..

Also loved the scene of Tyrion freeing the dragons. And Bran warging back to the past was very cool..

Is it just me or was that a mostly* upbeat episode?

*I am aware a baby and it's mother were eaten by mad dogs but this is Game of Thrones. Roose Bolton was largely responsible for the red wedding, so screw his family.

Oh and two people getting their heads smashed by separate giants in the first ten minutes, win.

The following clip is from S3 E6, when Mellisandre meets fellow Lord of Light priest, Thoros of Myr. Their discussion about Beric Dondarrion is worth a watch, as foreshadowing of last nite's events..

Thanks for the spoiler warnings...much appreciated from this newbie, lol.

I just finished season one...and I'm three episodes into season two.

Joffrey, what a villainous little shlt...I despise him...but at the same time...he's great...a character I love to hate...ha...

                      Awesome show, I'm officially in...

Oh yeah, I DESPISED Joffrey! He was a combination of Caligula, the Marquis de Sade, and Vlad Dracul with a touch of Elizabeth Bathory thrown in.

And Jack Gleeson is reputed to be an absolute sweetheart of a guy too.

yeah, it is a tribute to the acting and the writing of the show that you just despise some of these characters soooo much. Wait till you meet the ******* Bolton. he makes Joffrey look like prince charming

Let's not forget everyone's favorite dad, Tywin Lannister. As bad as he was, he didn't quite measure up in the evil stakes compared to Joffrey and Bolton.

By the past tenses here...I guess many of them have died since, lol...

BTW, I already knew of Sean Bean's Ned...so while I was already prepared...it still took me back...

I guess it doesn't pay to be a good guy here...
