Classic Stretch Armstrong is getting a US release.

It was announced at the London Toy Fair that Stretch was getting released in the UK by Character Options. The thread is here:

    Super cool!! http://www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/home-news/stretch-armstrong-returns-as-low-tech-favourites-triumph-at-2016-toy-fair-a6833686.html

But some how it flew under the radar at the NYTF that Stretch is getting a US and I assume Canada too release by Jazwares.

    Skip ahead to 6:10.

AFC stopped by the Jazwares booth for a quick tour, and although we saw more than we could show (*COUGH* Danger Mouse...), we did get a look at Stretch Armst...

You are a bold and courageous person, afraid of nothing. High on a hill top near your home, there stands a dilapidated old mansion. Some say the place is haunted, but you don't believe in such myths. One dark and stormy night, a light appears in the topmost window in the tower of the old house. You decide to investigate... and you never return...

I assume they will be powder or bead filled? The example shown was most definitely not syrup.

He looks a little floppier than the original, but still really cool. Didn't the original have actual cloth shorts on?

He sure did. My original head was super glued on a 12 inch body as a kid with original trunks. I painted the body to match the face. Still remains one of my favourite toys I own.

I haven't heard if it's been stated if the figure is still filled with corn syrup or not. But it does look like it can really take a beating and still slowly go back to it's original shape like the vintage toy.

Here's a video from UK toy fair of kids really stretching him to his limit.

Stretch Armstrong is back in 2016 with his unique styling and traditional look. The Stretch Armstrong toy was originally launched in 1977.The Stretch Armstro...

How did I miss this thread? I was searching for the other thread on the London Toy Fair to see when he was supposed to come out, and finally saw this. Hope to see ol' Stretch soon!

I believe they've started showing up in the UK and Australia. I don't think they've hit the US yet.

Amazon US now has these up for pre-order for $29.99. They will be in stock on August 5th. Looks like Stretch is a bit shorter than the original, but I'm still looking forward to this.
