You are a bold and courageous person, afraid of nothing. High on a hill top near your home, there stands a dilapidated old mansion. Some say the place is haunted, but you don't believe in such myths. One dark and stormy night, a light appears in the topmost window in the tower of the old house. You decide to investigate... and you never return...

I'm of two minds. While I love the franchise, it kind of jumped the shark with the last two movies. The only thing that saved the one about the Holy Grail was the presence of Sean Connery. I have never watched Kingdom of the Crystal Skull all in one shot, because to me, the magic is gone, and they just can't get it back.

Harrison Ford is getting to be way too old for the part, and to me he IS Indy!

Maybe it's time to retire the franchise for a while, unless you completely recast the part with someone who has the physical stamina for the role. And let's face it, not a lot of actors can do it.

It's hard for me to get too excited about this. I feel Harrison Ford is simply too old for the role. Even if it has a good story that address his age realistically it won't be what made the films so popular. I will be happy to be proven wrong and I hope I am.

They need to have old Indy (Harrison Ford) telling/reminiscing about one of his past adventures ala the "Young Indiana Jones Chronicles" and have a new person playing Indy in the flashback story (Chris Pratt - just my choice). This way you kinda have Harrison Ford passing the torch (whip) over to the new star taking over for him.

Dude, I just almost blew pudding all over my keyboard I laughed so hard! I vote for Golden Wheelchair with Curse of Incontinence as a follow-up!

That's kind what I was thinking too. My idea would be for the movie to take place during the Cuban missile crisis and have some important element tied to a past adventure - that way, they intro a new actor to the role and at the end of this movie, old Indiana Jones rides off into the sunset with Marion (they already got married, no need to have a new romance with a geriatric old man and Indy deserves to have a long happily ever after!) They could probably get away with say a 50/50 split of old Indy and new Indy. Then, Indy 6 can start fresh with a new actor and set in the pre WW2 era like Indy should be!

i doubt Spielberg would cast lebouf again after he was bad mouthing the last movie. I agree Harry is too old to play the part at this point, I mean by the time they start shooting he will be what, 76? 77? my thought had been about the split story line as well to introduce a new actor in the role

I'd say Indy gets killed by his son-gone-bad.

I like the idea of Mutt Williams, but NOT having Shia Lebouf playing him. He's not that great of an actor, and he has enough issues to fill a library!
