Captain Action at New York Comicon!

    Hey Gang,
Just wanted to provide a little tidbit of info i just found out about the upcoming New York Comicon (April 18-20th) in New York City. Designer of the original package art for Captain Action (Murph Anderson) will be in attendance, located at the Captain Action booth (#1862) in the Jacob Javits Center. He will be signing autographs, along with the other creators on hand, signing copies of the upcoming Captain Action comic. Thought I would post this here since we are looking forward to Cast-A-Ways upcoming Cap Action figure line. Hope to see ya' there
    -Will

Wow, I'd love to meet Murphy Anderson. One of comic's greatest draftsmen. And for Mego fans, he provided countless licensing art of the DC heroes, many useed by Mego on their packaging. It is an honor and a privilege to be doing the art and package design for Cast-A-Ways CA line. I am truly not worthy to follow in this man's foot steps!

I'm a bit biased, but as a fanboy I must say David and Jason have perfectly combined CA and Mego, and made some improvements along the way! I am totally stoked for these!

Let's give props to Murphy Anderson for which THIS THREAD is really and originally about. Murphy Anderson is really a great man to meet. Met him at the Big Apple Comic Con. He signed every copy of Hawkman that I brought for him to autograph. Very genuine and courteous to the fans. To me he will always be Mr. HAWKMAN. If you see him at the show go over and say hi and ask for an autograph...you won't regret it.

It makes me angry when I see all the new artists get these praises for not even being able to draw a "Normal" human body...Murph is in his 60's/70's and can draw rings around these newbies. Maybe I might get him to sketch me a Hawkman if I have enough time.
