Now that I have mine in hand, I don't think I'll be changing him. I might repaint this face so his lips look less smiley. But he actually looks pretty good! I was pleasantly surprised that the choices come together well.
I really hope that, if they do make a better 70's/Neal Adams Bat, he will come with a similar cape; this style would work so well for the classic Bronze Age look.
I will probably eventually switch out the hands with a set of black 66 Batman gloves/hands. I like the way those look.
Since other people had mentioned doing this and had not posted pictures, I thought I'd share. I do really like the way the large cape works to upgrade an old Batman figure. The collar part that they used in the 66 line also really helps to fill it in nicely.
Like I posted earlier, I dig it but does batman have eyeballs or are they just white like Village of The Damned. Maybe I just cant make them out on the pics i've seen because of all the black. I know I will get the RC version.
No eyeballs in this version. Most of the figures that use this head have black dots. This is the first one to have the whited out eyes that a lot of people have been wanting since it goes with the classic comic book look.

Actually, I recall from a comment Silver St. Cloud made back in the 70's that the white eyes are the actual look of the mask Bats wears; they are apparently actual lenses to give him that look. And I have to admit, giving him those blank white eyes on this figure actually does make that headsculpt a little less goofy looking.

I received the RC version today and really like him! The cape is very cool on this version. You can pose him in allot of stances like the Keaton Batman did in the '89 movie. My only gripe, (but it's minor one) is the shorts section is stitched relatively tight which really limits what you can do in terms of moving his legs. I don't want to tear it at the seams so he'll have to pretty much remain in a standing position which is what all mine ultimately do anyway. Really like the different material though. Very cool variant. I love the RC Batman (my all time favorite Mego) so I enjoy picking up the variations that exist. I'm glad FTC shares that enthusiasm.
