    Nox Arcana

You are a bold and courageous person, afraid of nothing. High on a hill top near your home, there stands a dilapidated old mansion. Some say the place is haunted, but you don't believe in such myths. One dark and stormy night, a light appears in the topmost window in the tower of the old house. You decide to investigate... and you never return...

Good idea for a thread. There's been too many old farts at the party talking about the days when the grass was Green, the women were hotter, the beer was colder.
Anyway here's my pick they kinda remind me of 90's Green day

^Really dig Wavves. Been getting a lot of request for their music videos.

Obviously you're in Seattle - but just in case Brian changes his mind, it's usually not too hard to find tickets to sold out Echo Beach shows on craigslist or whatever. Just start looking a week or two before the show. I've gotten tix a couple times that way. Fun venue - if the weather is good.

Good stuff - I remember this one got stuck in my head quite a bit, and I'm not even much of a Grohl fan.

Great idea for a thread. However since I use apps like Deezer (something like spotify etc) I'm really not sure if a lot of stuff I'm listening to is "new". But here's a couple bands that are new to me in the last year or two or three.

              Follakzoid
              Myrrors
              The Spyrals
              Brothers of the Sonic Cloth
              Gnod
              The Warlocks
              The Wooden Shjips

I don't really get it when people complain about no new good music out there. Perhaps they need to change their method of discovering it.

Entirely my biggest problem, I used to have XM and got exposed to a lot of new artists but since Sirius took over it's the same five artists, over and over again.

The app I use has a "similar artist" feature I use to listen to new bands. So if you like "The Dirtbombs" you hit the similar artists button and there's a bunch of like minded bands like The Gories, The Deadly Snakes, Andre Williams, Von Bondies, etc etc etc.

speaking of old farts music i'm just listening to the 1st clash album 40 years old and still sounds as vital today.a lot of the mainstream music today sounds pale and old compared to early clash, the jam, ramones etc when i hear teenagers listening to their kind of music it sounds like old farts music i think i hope i never get that old then realize im 30 years older.

I feel that way sometimes. There's a lot of very popular safe, tepid music right now, but it's easy to forget that most kids were listening to Captain and Tennille instead of the Ramones back in the day too, no?

who? i don't recall them.yes your right i suppose because all the people i knew were either mods, punks, skins you tend to forget that most people were listening to what was mainstream back then.

Listening to Casey Kasem's old top 40s are really interesting, Wuss Rock dominated!

I used to listen to a lot of wuss rock as a kid.

99% of all bands I like today I discovered after the fact.

One of my most played 45's was Bay City Rollers Saturday Night
