I had Rubik's Cube and Missing Link, already mentioned. I also had Whip It...

    and the Snake...

and in a similar vein, but a bit tangential, one of the golf tee peg puzzle games bought at a roadside restaurant on a vacation road trip...

Rubik's Cube, and a small keychain version of Pyraminx.

(I remember getting the Rubik's Cube free from a large book store with the purchase of a Broom-Hilda paperback in '83... I guess they must have had a surplus of cubes!)

I didn't have any of them but my sister had the Rubix Cube.

I hated the Orb. It seemed to be the most desperate cash grab of them all.

Like many, I had the Rubik's Cube and the Missing Link. I remember the ads for the Snake in DC Comics.

I had a Rubix Cube (finally replaced a couple of Christmases ago), and a white Pyraminx with metallic color stickers (might have been a knockoff) that disappeared sometime in the early 90's.

I always hated that Rubik's cube used stickers. I also hated that my sibling would remove said stickers, rearrange them, and claim he "solved" it.

He later did learn how to actually solve the puzzle, as did I. And I now have a speed cube where the colors are molded plastic inserts, but I really hated that early design.
