Woof! Good luck with that, dude! I actively collected Kresge and 1st Issue cards for years, and never found a really nice, reasonably priced 1st Issue Kresge (or Mego-branded) Spider-Man. I encountered several reseals, plenty of worn or even trashed cards, and a couple nice examples that came with painful price tags… but this is a surprisingly tough piece to acquire, even for the tenacious 1st Issue card collector.

It will be easier to locate a Kresge-branded than a Mego-branded 1st Issue Spidey, but both card styles are TOUGH. Even if you find one, you can expect to pay somewhere in the $1,800-2,000 range… which may come as a surprise to some folks.

My interest just took a nosedive! I had no idea. I've never really been a card collector, so I thought it would be way cheaper. Darn!
