Imperial Toys Spooky Kooky monster jigglers

    You know, these guys:

I've been waiting for YEARS for someone to do a write-up of my favorite monster jigglers. Finally, I got tired of waiting and compiled all of my notes from a few years ago and wrote the article myself. A friendly note to an ebay seller got me in contact with a super collector who had quite a few bootleg/knockoffs!

This is the first version of the article. Any additional information or photos are greatly appreciated. Happy to credit anyone with additional input.

Very cool. Any idea when Topstone made (or perhaps distributed) them? Here's the TS box.

I wasn't aware that Topstone made toys. Weren't they known for the rubber monster masks that you could buy from Johnson Smith catalogs?

I don't have access to Facebook. Can you copy any info or pics and PM them to me?

BTW- just added a blog page for my "Hogan's Heroes + Spooky Kooky = ?" mashup. My brother and I used to play "Hogan's Heroes" with Spooky Kookys back in '72 or '73. Once I got replacements for my Kookys (almost 40 years later), I made them some "Hogan's Heroes/Adventure team" type outfits.

I'm back everyone. I've been spending more time searching the Internet and discussing Spooky Kooky boxes at the Universal Monster Army. Borrowed a Facebook id and found more info on Facebook. I've (mostly) completed writing Part II of the Spooky Kooky story. Turns out, the boxes and packaging tell a far more interesting story than the Spooky Kooky toys themselves.

          Draft version is here:

          http://home.earthlink.net/~zmoq/data...ackaging'.html

This is a DRAFT, not the final URL. Awaiting the possibility of better pictures, and I have made a few more email contacts who might have more info.

Any feedback or comments are appreciated.

Also, I have updated the main Spooky Kooky page with a newly-found photo of fake knockoffs still attached to a vending machine backing card. More laughs all around.
