    Black Hole Planet 3 Alien

The Universe's Greatest SpaceApes Series continues with Godzilla/Mechagodzilla Simians.

I'm calling this a prototype as the head is just a color test until I sculpt one out.

Another vintage materials redesign… early AJ Airforce Jumpsuit, and Firesuit for the details (armband, belt utilities, etc.).

I searched and searched for months and tried a variety of new materials which all failed to capture the look I was after. The vintage materials are just superior as you can dissect, distress, dye, re-sow and mash them up in a way you can't with newer (more fragile) materials. The early AJ fabric in particular is awesome and it takes Tulip Soft fabric paints and dye so well. You can literally turn it into any color including variety of textures/metallics, as they can be mixed like acrylics, and remain flexible.

Thanks for the nice words. It's great there's an audience for these lesser-known creatures.

Aha, fabric paints. I thought that was an AJ pilot suit, but the color threw me.

I like the AJ suit, too--I used it on a "Taylor" astronaut kitbash.

I am not familiar with the character but this is a very well made custom figure. Congrats!

This custom had me watching MechaGodzilla last night, like i said, it's hands down my favourite.

I never in many viewings noticed that the bad guys had gorilla faced belt buckles before, how funny.
