Do you mind me asking how you attached the helmet? Did you glue it on? For the EMCE retro Thor, I was thinking about buying a repro Thor helmet from Dr. Mego's site as I'm pretty sure it has the peg on the inside and then just making a small hole in the top of retro Thor's head in order to attach it.Comment

Here's the version of Thor that worked best for me. I don't really care much for the blank, lifeless look of the 'classic' head or the flat hair. Nor do I have much use for the modern costume. As nice as it is, it doesn't seem like Thor to me.
So! Instead, I put the modern head on a beefy older ZICA body, secured with putty. The skin tone on both are a good match. Added the classic helmet (again, putty) and costume. Rolled the cuffs in half, as someone suggested, and used the modern mallet as well. Your mileage may vary, but this mix gives me a good solid Thor I'm happy with. Plus, I feel he fits better with the Don Blake (a figure I do quite like).

One drawback with the molded hair (as everyone else has mentioned), is that it prevents the head from turning. It occurred to me, that since I'm keeping this combo, I might as well just super-glue the head onto the body anyway for added stability.Last edited by rodkeith; Jan 19, '16, 8:46 PM.Comment
