I really, really like Ghost's reworking of Roky Erickson's "If You Have Ghosts" (I wish I could find a karaoke version, because I love to sing this song). Here's their acoustic version, but the regular studio version is great too:

Speaking of Roky Erickson I love the 13th Floor Elevators cover of Dylan's "It's All Over Now, Baby Blue":

And since someone posted a Siouxsie and the Banshees video, they also did great versions of "The Passenger" and "Dear Prudence"

IMHO the "Queen" of covers is Susanna Hoffs of The Bangles. She's put out 3 cover albums with Matthew Sweet that have "Under The Covers" in the title. All of which are worth a listen. Here is a cover of Ian Boadie's band The Lightning Seeds "All I want" which is on Susanna's self titled solo album. There are also 2 hidden covers at the end of the album..."To Sir With Love" and "Stuck In The Middle With You" BTW, Ian Broadie was a prominent producer on Echo and The Bunnymen:

In memory of Lemmy, this is my favourite cover of a Motorhead song, "Iron Fist" by German thrash metal band Sodom (who were more or less like the thrash version of Motorhead, they also covered "Ace of Spades" and their own song "Ausgebombt" is basically the best Motorhead-inspired song I've heard). Live version from 1988.

Umm, yeah, I'm thinking cocaine was probably not all he was on.You are a bold and courageous person, afraid of nothing. High on a hill top near your home, there stands a dilapidated old mansion. Some say the place is haunted, but you don't believe in such myths. One dark and stormy night, a light appears in the topmost window in the tower of the old house. You decide to investigate... and you never return...Comment
