        Pretty cool!

Speaking of Roky Erickson I love the 13th Floor Elevators cover of Dylan's "It's All Over Now, Baby Blue":

Their new album is fantastic. "Cirice" is a great song, and the music video for it is done in the style of a 1970's Italian horror film.

Oh yeah, that's a good one!

And since someone posted a Siouxsie and the Banshees video, they also did great versions of "The Passenger" and "Dear Prudence"

And here's "Dear Prudence" (with bonus appearance by The Cure's Robert Smith, during his brief stint as a Banshee):

IMHO the "Queen" of covers is Susanna Hoffs of The Bangles. She's put out 3 cover albums with Matthew Sweet that have "Under The Covers" in the title. All of which are worth a listen. Here is a cover of Ian Boadie's band The Lightning Seeds "All I want" which is on Susanna's self titled solo album. There are also 2 hidden covers at the end of the album..."To Sir With Love" and "Stuck In The Middle With You" BTW, Ian Broadie was a prominent producer on Echo and The Bunnymen:

I was going to post that, but since you named it, I'm going with either Greg Kihn or the Replacements versions of The Only Ones' "Another Girl, Another Planet."

In memory of Lemmy, this is my favourite cover of a Motorhead song, "Iron Fist" by German thrash metal band Sodom (who were more or less like the thrash version of Motorhead, they also covered "Ace of Spades" and their own song "Ausgebombt" is basically the best Motorhead-inspired song I've heard). Live version from 1988.

Umm, yeah, I'm thinking cocaine was probably not all he was on.
You are a bold and courageous person, afraid of nothing. High on a hill top near your home, there stands a dilapidated old mansion. Some say the place is haunted, but you don't believe in such myths. One dark and stormy night, a light appears in the topmost window in the tower of the old house. You decide to investigate... and you never return...
