Heh, I remember when I used to plan my Japan trip around the theatrical release of the newest Godzilla flick. Unfortunately, I don't think I will be going there next July. But I still can't wait to see it whenever I get the chance.Comment

Hoping the "Cloverfield" approach is just for the trailer and not the actual film itself. Big G is better than a found footage aesthetic.Comment

It's already been reported that the found footage thing was purely for the trailer, which itself wasn't even a real trailer.
I love the design. He's supposed to be a monsterously irradiated creature. It makes sense he would look like that.
And while I love "classic" looks, I don't need every movie to be that way. Obviously this is a stand alone film and even if it spawns sequels, the designs may change over time. So hell yeah, give me freak melting monster Godzilla!Comment
