GREAT Video. Thanks for sharing. I've always been fascinated by this aspect of Mr. Springfield. It's pretty meta to think that while he was playing Zac on Battlestar Galactica, he was running to the toy store to collect 12 Backs.

Thanks for posting! I'm proud to say that Rick actually owns 2 of my custom figures of him! (Lt. Zac and the Comic Book Hero). In fact he told me that those are the only things in his music room w/ his likeness. Love ya, Rick!

OK, I don't understand the "back" thing w/ the numbers. I don't collect Star Wars so I have NO idea what that means.

It refers to the number of figures depicted on the back side of the card. The collect 'em all mentality. At first, there were 12 figures, so those early cards are called 12- backs because they show 12 figures in the collection on the back. By Empire, you'd have 40 backs and so on, as the collection number grew.

Fun interview. I particularly like the part when he says he was just a little too old to play with the figures when they came out. He was actually about 28. That's old enough to start playing with the figures all over again. At least it was for me.

Personally, I'm waiting for him to do an update to "Jessie's Girl." You know, "I wish that I had Jabba's Girl..where can I find a Jedi like that?"

Cool. He has a very nice collection of carded figures.
You are a bold and courageous person, afraid of nothing. High on a hill top near your home, there stands a dilapidated old mansion. Some say the place is haunted, but you don't believe in such myths. One dark and stormy night, a light appears in the topmost window in the tower of the old house. You decide to investigate... and you never return...

I haven't watched the video yet, but I've heard that he has some carded Uzays, those puppies are tough to find!

A side of this guy I never knew about.
I always thought his songs were catchy.
Wonder what other stars have nice toys?
