    Wal-Mart Star Wars Battlefront Displays

For two weeks now some Wal-Mart's had this incredible displays to advertise the new game. One was hanging from the ceiling a big Millennium Falcon and the other was a HUGE AT-ST. They were located next to the Audio/Visual section in the store.

They are made of cardboard and since Disney now owns Star Wars they went big on advertising this. Well This week my Wal-Mart said they have to come down and so I asked the manger about them, what they were going to do with them and she said they were going to just recycle them. So I asked if I help take them down can I have them and she asked her other employees about me and they said he does spent lot of money in there department and he does get all the video displays so she let me have both of them. So know in my (air condition) storage shed sits booth the Millennium Falcon (hanging from the ceiling) and I had to dismattle most of the AT-ST (all but the cockpit).

If you never had the chance to see them at Wal-Mart than I am sorry, seeing these up was a daily treat for me. Once I move to a bigger place I do plan on rebuilding the AT-ST and display this with the rest of my Star Wars merchandise.

Monitor ep took the time to start this thread...something he's obviously super stoked...and whether you are into cardboard displays or not...I found his story and pictures cool as heck.

Those displays are awesome...but I think the tale of obtaining them is even cooler...

The AT-ST is over 7 foot tall and the M.F. is around 6 foot.

I love collecting displays. I have over 20 from McDonalds and then there are the ones i have gotten from working at Blockbusters, Movieshop, comic books stores and more. When I do move and ave enough room to rebuild the AT-ST I do want to go and remake the bookcases into wood and have a battle scene with my original Ewoks plushes. I know dorky but it is mine and I can have fun if I want.

            Those are very cool looking!!!

I bet the AT-ST would look great with 12 inchs figures!

I saw these at my local Wal-Mart and even inquired about buying them when the promo was over, but the department manager said two of his employees had dibs on them. The actually had a really nice and pretty good sized T-Rex cardboard promo unit for JURASSIC WORLD that I would've loved to have hand, but alas another customer had already been told they could have it.
sigpic Oh then, what's this? Big flashy lighty thing, that's what brought me here! Big flashy lighty things have got me written all over them. Not actually. But give me time. And a crayon.

Haven't seen the display, but man, that game is awesome. My son has been playing the heck out of it, and I even this old codger who has a harder and harder time getting into modern games, enjoyed the heck out of playing it.

It does look great hanging in my nephews playroom.

Oh I just found out that several of the employees at Wal-Mart were upset that I was able to get them. From what I was told they were promised to a few people, but that day the manger was told to take them down before lunch and her boss didn't care how.

Those are super cool, but hard to display. I was lucky enough to get the inflatable vader from a BK years ago. It now sits in a storage locker. Knowing the South Georgia heat, it is probably a mass of goo now. Ryan
