Just finished last night's installment. Like all the others, just the right mix of humor and tongue-in-cheek horror. Whomever's doing the effects on this show is doing a really nice job with the Deadites. And Lucy Lawless is looking super-great in this! Heck, I think she likely could've pulled off Wonder WOMAN, with an emphasis on the womanly part.
Next week, back to where it all began...
sigpic Oh then, what's this? Big flashy lighty thing, that's what brought me here! Big flashy lighty things have got me written all over them. Not actually. But give me time. And a crayon.
Definitely digging Lawless, although with the final confrontation coming with a handful of episodes to go, I have to wonder if they are setting her up as the Big Bad for a potential second season given how they are drawing out her storyline.
Hoping we see more of Evil Ash, in a form that is more akin to his Army of Darkness incarnation (even if they can't use his looks from that movie)
Did not like Amanda getting killed, especially in such gruesome manner. I thought she was a series regular who was coming back next season. I thought she and Ash had a nice flirtatious connection, after the first confrontational couple of meetings.
I kept waiting for that to be a dream sequence, or hallucination. Bummed as well. IMDB showed her being in all 10 episodes, so she'll be back in some form or another.
we've also yet to see what kind of mess is lurking in the basement.
Don't know how they would reconcile the conflicting Evil Dead 1 & 2 continuity, but I'd like to see Ash have to deal with his sister as a surviving deadite. Mostly because they made their conflict so funny in the Evil Dead musical (which is returning home to Toronto!).
Just got all caught up. Easily my new favorite TV show. 22 minutes and you're guaranteed at least 3 or 4 chuckles and a belly laugh. This show is so easy to consume and enjoy. I agree with Hector, it was a bummer they killed off Amanda so quickly. But I would say anything could happen. Kelly really gets to shine in the final episodes. I think I like this show better than the films, and I will definitely buy the season on blu ray once it comes out.
