    Starz' Ash vs Evil Dead

Kinda surprised no one started a thread on this show.

It's a blast, still scary funny as heck...

Bruce Campbell, older...30 pounds heavier...but still the man.

It's on Starz every Saturday night.

    Check it out...

still got to see it. Just noticed I get a Starz free channel on my Roku. Just for the original shows including Ash.

Is this going to show up on Netflix or Hulu or any of the other streaming services?

          Wish I got that channel

Had to give up all my premiums since the cable company raised the price by $60.00+ (if I kept the premiums)

I loved the first episode. All the Evil Dead movies are great, but the tone shifted around quite a bit from film to film. The Evil Dead was pretty much straight horror, Evil Dead II was a balanced blend of horror and comedy, and Army of Darkness leaned heavily into the comedy. Ash vs. Evil Dead seems to dial it back a bit to the perfect blend of comedy and horror from Evil Dead II. And I think I like the 30 years older version of Ash even better than the young version. I'm also looking forward to seeing more of Lucy Lawless, who I'm a big fan of. She had a cameo in the first episode, but should have a more significant role in future episodes. Definitely my favorite new show this year, at least so far.

Awesome to see that Sam Raimi still has what it takes to be inventive on a low(er) budget scale. Hopefully they can keep up this level of gonzo energy throughout the rest of the episodes.

Can't wait to see Lucy Lawless in scenes with Bruce.

Finally watched it, and I think I built it up a little too much in my mind. Was a tad disappointed, but it was definitely a fun ride, and I will continue to watch. The thing that threw me the most was some of the cheesy CGI effects. Like I said, I'll keep watching, but I'll have to lower my expectations a little.

I've got to see this. I watched Army of Darkness for the first time in years last week. I had forgotten how much I loved those films.

Finally caught up with this last night, I loved it, thought it was a lot of fun! I feel like I've practically grown up with these guys, ever since my dad brought the first one home from the video store when it first came out on VHS. It's too bad that Sam only directed the first episode, I hope the rest can keep up the crazy energy.

I can't find it now but I swear NECA mentioned doing a Retro Figures based on this series. Hope it's true.
