So I just had to search for Heidi Saha, and now I feel like a dirty old pervII I got through about 10 pictures before I realized she was just a KID! What the heck?!
Then I saw this. Apparently they were a big hit at that Con:

Of course, I had to look up the other gal too.Comment

The whole Heidi thing is IMO good intentions and a lack of basic common sense. In hindsight, it's extremely creepy and I know more than one Warren collector who feels compelled to own her magazine and at the same time, not compelled.Places to find PlaidStallions online: https://linktr.ee/Plaidstallions

^I know times were different, but I can't help but think there was still a bit of creepiness involved, even then. I'm not saying anything actually happened (by all accounts, it didn't), but her parading around in these skimpy outfits with her baby fat cheeks apparent was encouraged, when it should have been DIScouraged.
The one-shot magazine is the piece that is just insanely over-the-top. The rest you can kind off pass of as "in the moment" type of non-thinking.Comment

Let's get one thing straight...she's wasn't 14. She was 14 1/2...Think OUTSIDE the Box! For the BEST in Repro & Custom Packaging!Comment

Well, having never heard of her before I was definitely taken aback. I'm astute enough to realize that there wasn't any ill intent, but seeing a young girl in a skimpy outfit surrounded by a bunch of old dudes is unnerving. It looks like she was a comic fan from a young age, and started dressing up for cons. But man, the comic and poster ads smack of perviness.
Color me intrigued enough so to do some reading. So apparently she was "born into it" so-to-speak, and also posed for sci-fi books covers. There are some pics of her with Arthur C. Clarke and others.Comment

It's their interest in her that is the most disturbing actually.
Anyway, it's a fascinating little side-note of Comic/Sci-Fi/Convention history.Comment

The other Vampirella, Angelique Trouvere, would also cosplay Red Sonja and did shows on the convention circuit with Frank Thorne (and Wendy Pini, also cosplaying Red Sonja).
