Being half German, I heard of him and Black Peter as a kid.
Even our "St Nicholas Day" bags (google it) had this menacing Santa with a broom in his hand that I was told, was used to punish the bad kids.
Believe it or not, I had a happy childhood and looked forward to Christmas.Places to find PlaidStallions online: https://linktr.ee/Plaidstallions

Cast and Crew of a Christmas Horror Story at Horror Rama in Toronto this past weekend (where it screened at the After Dark Film Festival). The folks behind this also did Ginger Snaps. Also pictured is the original headgear worn by Krampus, which was the only prosthetics used on the actor. The rest was the actor's mostly bare body running around outside in the snow during one Canada's harshest winters.
Shatner shot all his scenes in one day.

Watched this last night. Decent mix of horror and Christmas, but I found less humor than I had hoped for.
And I cannot stand when they mispronounce Krampus. It's CROM-Pus. He's German. When they call him CRAM-pus, it sounds like a cyclical female problem. I also shuddered at the line "Krampus... the ENEMY of Christmas!!" This is just not accurate. They really misinterpreted the character. If Krampus is so Anti-Christmas, then explain these Victorian postcards:
Michael Dougherty's interpretation, while still Americanized, got it right. Still, a solid effort from Canada, and I appreciated the practical makeup.
Least favorite segment: School Nativity
