    NLDS Mets Vs. Dodgers...

This is for the baseball fans out there...especially the NY Mets fans. One down and 2 to go. DeGrom was OUTSTANDING!!! Tied Seaver for most strikeouts in a Mets playoff game at 13 strikeouts tonight. Also, is now in the record books as the 1st pitcher to debut with 6 strikeouts in the first 2 innings of a playoff game. All around great night. Some say I shouldn't get greedy...but I will be. Let's make it 2 tomorrow night against Graenke and the Dodgers.

All of the cybermeterics stats just make me crazy...but they showed how fast Murphy's Homerun left the ballpark last night. Just can't wrap my head around all of the cybermetric stiff...but this puts the Morphy homer in perspective that I can easily understand:

AGon BETTER get drilled on Monday night by Harvey. Utley's cheap BUSH LEAGUE take out slide broke Tejada's Fibula.

Utley's slide made no attempt to hit the base, just Tejada. It was late and at least a foot to the right of the bag. There would not have been a double play anyway. The umpires should have called interference. Reminds me of the 2000 World Series, when Clemens threw a piece of bat at Piazza while he was running to first base. The umpires and MLB did nothing to Clemens.

That's was crazy! And, I still don't understand how Utley was put on second base after that collision. Tejada didn't touch the base and neither did Utley. Then again, I'm not the smartest guy around. That could very well be why I still don't understand.

This comment is exactly what Baseball is not about! the best way for the Mets to respond is to come out and win the game. You don't retaliate by potentially hurting another player.

I love baseball! been a LA Dodger fan since I was born. Even I can admit the slide by Utley was uncalled for. Tejada is out and the Mets are down a key player.

Joe Torre doesn't even know the rule and he's the head of Baseball Operations at MLB. It's a DISGRACE. I said it over on FB...Utley better have a bodyguard when he comes to Citifield. Lasorda got hit in the head with a battery back in the 80's because he was a hated manager here in NY....I can just imagine what some crazy fans might have in store for Utley.

The Best Revenge for the Mets is a Clean Win...No need to stoop down to garbage level ball playing.

Mets fans have been (relatively) quiet over the past 3 decades, given the team's lack of sustained success in that time. With the pitching staff New York has assembled, though, it appears that period of tranquility is at an end. Alas, all good things, as they say!

                        Go Cardinals!

Regardless of the slide, Utley (NEVER) touched second base, should have been called out.
how can these Umpires and replay judges let that go? hopefully Mets fans keep from harming
Utley, just boo him continuesly throughout the game, although it might get worse if the Dodgers
pull away, or worst case, Utley hits the go ahead runs and the Dodgers win, I'm seeing this series
                              going all (5) games.
