Did you ever go to a bachelor party ?

I've been to many bachelor parties and none have ever been like they're depicted on TV and movies.

The ones I've attended featured such events as ......

Everybody getting drunk and watching Forbidden Planet.

Taking a Night Ghost Tour of the Gettysburg Battlefield.

Dinner at Texas Roadhouse.

Going to Star Trek Experience in Vegas.

Etc....

All above were different parties.

None were like what's depicted on TV and movies.-- strippers/sex related etc.

So are my friends just crazy boring ? ... or is this how most bachelor parties are - in real life ?

Yes, I've gone to some "blue" bachelor parties...the craziest one was at the notorious Mitchell Brothers O'Farrell theater in San Francisco...at caramba...can't tell you, I'd be banned from here for sure...

I've been to a few wild and raunchy ones and I've skipped out on a couple of crazy Vegas ones, because I'm cheap and/or broke.

In all honesty - I'd be way more into having a few drinks and watching Forbidden Planet.

For my bachelor party me and my closest friends and family hung out at my local bar. I got to put my playlist on the sound system, had a big cigar and drank for free all night. Then at some point my wifey showed up with some of her friends. A great, great time.

I've been to too many to count, been to dull ones and events that bordered on super creepy. Personally not a fan of strippers, at my own i just got drunk with my closest friends.

The only one i ever skipped out on was my college roommate, the invite had porno pictures on it and if i run into this guy on a regular Tuesday morning, I would wake up in a ditch. I knew it was going to be insane, so I went and saw "fear and loathing in Las Vegas" instead, he was reenacting it.

The last one i went to was for a close friend who is a few years younger than me, i was a new dad sipping beer watching "Fear and loathing in Las Vegas" in the living room, while these twenty somethings put all sorts of things into their bodies. They all appeared to be on fast forward and when i arrived, the party was in it's third day.

I always say, the bachelor party is not for the guy about to get married, it is for his friends.

I am not and have never been big on going to strip clubs, I don't like the skanks touching me, skeeves me out

Been to two BP's in Vegas. First one I didn't really have much disposable income, so it wasn't much fun. Upside was 14 of us shared a suite at Bally's so it didn't cost me much. Plus the guys I went with were pretty boring, younger than me, and I only knew a handful of them. I had to chip in for strippers for the bachelor...

Second one was fun with guys more my speed, however I had to share a room with the bachelors future brother-in-law (who I knew before I knew the bachelor) - he's weird to say the least. Took showers for about 30 min and would turn the water off and on throughout. It's been a running joke with our friend - his sister - that I had to share a room with him.

Mine was just me and three buddies out on the mean streets of Seattle with dinner and bar hopping.

I've been to a few. Some involved strip clubs and some didn't but none ever (to my knowledge) involved stuff we couldn't tell our wives/girlfriends about. However - I was present one time when a random bachelor party arrived at a strip club. The guy's buddies paid whatever, and the dancers took the bachelor up on stage. They proceeded to drop the guy's jeans (leaving him in his boxers), borrow a thick leather belt, and beat the &#!^* out of him on stage. I mean...I would be comfortable testifying that I had witnessed a felony. The party didn't stay long after that.

Yeah, I don't get that, either. If the guy is so desperate to cheat, or he doesn't respect the girl enough not to, then why is he getting married?
