Fun with Evel & his Scramble Van

Tonight, I brought out my Evel Knievel toys and let the kids have at them.

We set up all those little red chairs, went thru the tool box and were tearing tops off boxes to use for ramps.

How many of you guys have let your kids experience the magic of winding up Evel and watching him go......it was an awesome memory I`ll treasure.

Soooooo cool! I have to imagine the kids loved as much as we did back in the day.

that's awesome. I had the rocket cycle and the dragster that I let my son play with and he loved. they don't make great toys like that anymore

No kids of my own, but when I worked after school I let my class play w/ them. They really didn't understand that you had to work your arm to increase speed to make the cycle go. Most of the time the bike barely cleared the winder, and toppled over. And these were grade school kids. I kept demonstrating starting off slow and increasing the winding action. And a lot of them wanted to wind backwards. But a couple of kids got it. One of them used to come to my house and we'd take Evel and Derry Daring out in my backyard w/ my Stunt Stadium, my Skull Canyon set, and my Poof-Slinky retro Daredevil set. Good times!

My kids love my Playing Mantis reissue stunt cycle. We get it out from time to time and jump stuff! One of, if not THE greatest toy ever made.

            Great pics!
