    Well, there's that.

Since most of the high-end render farms are located in Japan, they've really been able to step up the VFX quality in a short time. But the stories always have an off-kilter quality to them. I've given leeway that's something is lost in the transaltion, but that ain't it. It's cultural.

The only guy who got it was Kaneko, the dude who did the 90's Gamera films and Godzilla GMK. He didn't get caught up in trying to emulate Hollywood melodrama.

Visually, that's fantastic. I haven't had time to read about the impact Godzilla '14 had, but it's apparent in this trailer that mass and gravity are finally being taken into consideration. Those have always been kaiju cinema after thoughts.

      This looks pretty darn good.

I REALLY hope they do an English dubbed version ... Reading subtitles get's old after about 10 mintues

I'd take subtitles over dubbing every time in a good movie. Not so much with junk food.

I've never seen any of the remake Gamera's ... Just the 60's and maybe early 70's ones.

I gotta say, considering they were geared more for kids I thought a lot of them were more scary than Godzilla films.

I still remember there was one that gave me nightmares for a while ... It was the one where the kids go inside Gamera in a little submarine to fight some baby monster hatching in his gut.

For a short time, for some reason I thought I had one in my stomach

          Probably had to fart

Gamera is really neat, Gamera is filled with meat, We've been eating Gamera!!

Looks like this is a proof of concept trailer but it still looks pretty damn good.

The 90's Gamera films were pretty good, the 60's films...not so much (I prefer the MST3K versions of those ones).

I always liked the original Gamera movie, (bad guy) version before he became a silly kids hero, Godzilla went that route
briefly, thank goodness that lasted for about 3 movies. Will I ever see a Godzilla vs Gamera movie? Turtle soup on
the menu and make it snappy.
