The teaser is very purple, which I assume is a nod to the Purple Man.

^I know the character from the notorious scene in her first issue involving her and Luke Cage's love life...but that's about it.

I'm not terribly familiar with the character either...just read up some info in Wiki about her.

Looks like a cool story, former superhero, gets burned out, opens up a detective agency, and so on...then hooks up with Luke Cage, etc...sound intriguing. I take she's still has superpowers, like super strength and all...saw a few other teasers where she just took out an entire barfly population, lol. In another, she squeezes an alarm with her hand and pulverizes it, ha.

I do know who that actress is though...she was Jesse's heroin addicted girlfriend in Breaking Bad. I dig her, good actress, and a hottie to boot...

I haven't kept up with the character recently, but I thought her introductory series "Alias" was fantastic. Jeez, that was ages ago... Purple Man was really disturbing therein.

She had a few nice moments as a supporting character in New Avengers, as Luke Cage's wife and baby momma, but Alias from Marvel Max was by far the best extended storyline for the character.

Alias was actually originally pitched as a Jessica Drew PI series, but was changed to an original character (Jones). Bendis later brought back Jessica Drew in New Avengers.

Loved the teaser for it! Anytime you can get David Tennant to go dark and menacing is a good time!

It ought to be very good and very adult. The Purple Man, if they do him right, will be horrendous and downright sadistic towards her. Everything I've read says that they are going to bring the Alias stories to life. This will not be your normal superhero show for sure.
