I never realized that the later figures in the line didn't include the mini-comic book.

Here is my loose collection. I also have carded figures of Flash, Hawkman, and Aquaman.Comment

the exciting part of Super Powers for me was characters like Red Tornado, Flash, Green Lantern, Firestorm, Mr Miracle, Plastic Man, Samurai and other DC characters becoming action figures for the first time. Part of the novelty was seeing what the "Super Powers" action was on each figure. Green Lantern raising his ring and Green Arrow raising his bow/arrow in particular were a delight. Darksied with the glowing red eyes was also a great bonus action to that figure.
Of course the standout of the line for me was Cyborg and his vac metallic finish. Terminator style Brainiac was pretty cool as well.Comment

More recently been bitten by the Super powers bug .. was the GGL issue of the big Wonder Woman which pricked my interest. Have had a WW collection for some time now , including the Kenner Super Powers Wonder Woman on card, but never spotted many of the others around.
That all changed recently when I scored a nice boxed Hall of Justice. Plus just yesterday the same shop had a figure case for sale , with a ton of good condition loose figures and comics to fill it with.

Howdy folks!
The FLASH was the first toy I purchased back in 1989 as an adult, at a comic book show, that led me to start collecting toys... and eventually MEGO figures too. I eventually picked up the full SP series carded, including the RIDDLER/Green Lantern Super Amigos figure. I also have that Darkseid Destroyer ship still boxed in the garage somewhere too. Great toy line, I doubt I'll ever part with it. -- CheersLast edited by theSamurai; May 16, '17, 1:56 AM.Comment

Super Powers figures have become so incredibly expensive in the last several years. I honestly hadn't paid much attention since I have the full line loose in various conditions except for Cyborg. I was stunned at the going rate for what I considered to be pretty common figures at a toy show last fall.
Yet another toy line I kick myself for not buying up back in the late 80s/early 90s instead of all the new stuff I still have rotting in Rubbermaid totes in my laundry room. Sigh.
